Da lian huo shao

Da lian huo shao is a traditional Mandarin dish. The preparation involves a yeast dough that is left to rise before being rolled out and filled.

Da lian huo shao can be enjoyed as it is or with a side of hot, clear soup or soy milk for a traditional Chinese breakfast experience.

Sand plum jelly

Sand plum jelly is made by cooking the fruit until it is soft and then straining the juice. The juice is then boiled with sugar until it thickens into a jelly. Sand plum jelly is a popular spread for toast, biscuits, and pancakes. It can also be used to make pies, jams, and other desserts.

Ifisashi

Ifisashi is a traditional Zambian dish made primarily with a mix of leafy green vegetables, tomatoes, peanuts, and sometimes meat. This nutritious and flavorful meal can be served as a main course or a side dish, and is often enjoyed with nshima, a maize porridge that is a staple in many African countries. The recipe below provides a vegetarian version of ifisashi, but you can easily add meat or fish if you prefer.

Coconut shrimp

Crispy coconut shrimp is a delicious and popular appetizer or main dish featuring succulent shrimp coated in a flavorful coconut crust and deep-fried, or baked, to golden perfection.
