Food in Nevada

Unless you are in Las Vegas, where you can eat anything from anywhere in the world, Nevada serves typical American fare mostly. This is the kind of food you will find in small towns, those with only one diner in a hundred miles radius.

Baby spinach salad

Baby spinach is tender and sweet, far gentler than mature spinach, and perfect raw in a salad. Here it's tossed with creamy avocado, sharp red onion, and crisp yellow pepper, then bound together with a tangy yogurt dressing. It comes together in fifteen minutes and makes a fresh, light lunch or a side that holds its own next to grilled meat or fish.

Crab & rice Maryland

Crabs are cooked in a myriad of ways, boiled, baked or fried in bacon drippings, as in this recipe. Crab Maryland style is just crab meat with a little onion and celery sautéed in bacon drippings, tossed with crumbled bacon and rice. All I can say is "Try this!"
