Pumpkin butter

Description

With the crisp autumn air, slowly cook this pumpkin butter to create a unique and delicious dish. The recipe is easy, although you'll have to be patient.

Ingredients

15 oz pumpkin (pumpkin flesh)
1 apple (medium, peeled and grated)
1⁄2 c brown sugar (packed)
3⁄4 t seasoning (pumpkin spice)

Instructions

Combine pumpkin, apple, apple juice, sugar and pumpkin pie spice in medium, heavy-duty saucepan.

Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low.

Cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 1/2 hours.

Let it cool down to room temperature and store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 months.
