Ideas for breakfast.

Dutch babies

Dutch babies are oven pancakes made from liquid batter. They are similar to a large Yorkshire pudding and from German origin... neither Dutch, nor babies.

Dutch babies are often served as a breakfast or brunch dish and can be sweet or savory.

Irish soda bread

Irish soda bread, made in a cast iron skillet with buttermilk, sour cream and caraway seeds, is super simple. Mind, it’s heavy bread and therefore excellent served with soup, stew or any dish where you may need to soak up natural juices or gravy.

Breakfast in Italy

Every Italian town has its own recipe to make cheese, and there are about 400 different kinds of cheese; sausages, with at least 300 types of sausage; and wine, don’t ask for Chianti indiscriminately, people are probably very proud of their local wine; however, their breakfast customs are pretty uniform. Breakfast is a small meal in Italy. Never mind, they will make up for it later at lunch, the most important meal, and dinner, also a social occasion.

Breakfast in Belgium

Not long ago, breakfast in Belgium was only a continental affair, most simple: coffee, toast, jam and orange juice. Nutritional advice recommends having a more substantial first meal to avoid the 11 o’clock sugar low. Belgians are happy to comply. Now Belgian breakfasts are known for being hearty and indulgent, reflecting the country's rich culinary tradition.

While breakfast habits can vary from person to person, there are several foods that are commonly associated with a traditional Belgian breakfast.
