Recipes and ideas for summer cooking.

Grilled corn on the cob

Cooking corn on the grill is unbelievably simple…and comes in real handy when you’re grilling and you don’t want to run back and forth from the kitchen checking on boiling water. You’ve got everything you need right outside and it’s a snap to bring it from grill to patio table.

Picnic food

You can make the same sandwiches you have always made, or you could give this picnic a whole new flavor. Bringing a good main dish on a picnic, without making it into a  sandwich is doable.

Fajitas

Beef steak should be sirloin, flank, or round. Pickled jalapeño peppers should be chopped and may be omitted if not desired.

Gazpacho

The better tomatoes you use the better your gazpacho will be. Juicy tomatoes like plum tomatoes, or any other of the kind used for sauce, work best. Good tomatoes are the most important ingrediente, followed by good olive oil.
