Roman style blackberries

Different and lighter than the classic way to serve blackberries, this simple dessert is very refreshing. Don't forget blackberries are packed with vitamins and antioxidants.

Ingredients

2 cups blackberries
1⁄4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons hazelnuts (toasted and chopped)
1 cup yogurt (plain, blackberry or blueberry flavor)
3 tablespoons sugar (less if the fruit is very ripe and sweet)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry blackberries, discarding spoiled. Put into a bowl with the orange juice and 1 Tbs sugar. Mix.
  2. Add hazelnuts to the yogurt and stir well. Pour on top of blackberries. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Sprinkle the rest of the sugar on top before serving.
