Mangonada

A refreshing slushy blend of ripe mangoes with a kick of spicy chamoy sauce, tangy lime, and a hint of salt. Perfect for a hot summer day.

Ingredients

3 mango (ripe mangoes, peeled and pitted)
1⁄2 cup sauce (chamoy sauce)
2 lime (the juice)
2 cups ice
  chili powder (for garnish)
1 pinch salt (optional)
tamarind (optative, tamarind candy sticks for stirring)

Instructions

In a blender, combine mangoes, ice, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until you achieve a slushy consistency.

Taste and adjust the tanginess with more lime juice if desired.

To serve, drizzle chamoy sauce around the inside of a clear glass. Pour in a layer of mango slush, followed by a drizzle of chamoy. Repeat layers until the glass is full.

Top with a sprinkle of chili powder.

For an authentic touch, serve with a tamarind candy stick to stir and enjoy!
