Coriander and yogurt sauce

Serve coriander and yogurt sauce with poached or boiled fish and grilled chicken.

Ingredients

1 onion (finely chopped)
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 teaspoon ajwain (ground)
1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
1 cup yogurt (plain)
2 sprigs coriander (fresh)
1⁄2 cup sour cream
  seasoning (salt and pepper to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over low heat and sauté onion until soft, add ground coriander and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
  2. Remove from heat, add yogurt, ground cocriander and coriander leaves. Puree until smooth with the hand blender or in a food processor.
  3. Return to the heat, add sour cream, season and warm the sauce but don't let it boil.
