This combination originated in Brazil and it is considered a national treasure there. It became popular in many other countries. There are cocktail bars which only serve caipirihans, either the original recipe with lime or any of its many fruit variations.

Brazilians love sports, and their favorite one is soccer, which they name futbol -from the word football as this sport is known in Europe.
