Oktoberfest beer

Description

Two hands reach in from either side of the frame to clink a pair of one-litre dimpled glass steins — the classic Bavarian Maßkrug — filled with bright, clear pale lager under a thin white head. The glasses meet just off centre and are the only sharp elements in the shot: the moulded dimples catch the light and the beer glows amber-gold where it is backlit.

Behind them the interior of an Oktoberfest beer tent falls away into heavy bokeh — the ribbed arch of the tent roof in yellow and white, strings of warm lights running along the vaulting, and the indistinct mass of a crowded hall below. No faces are identifiable and no brand marks are legible, so the image reads as generic festival rather than a specific tent or brewery.
