Hendl
Description
A whole roast chicken shot from directly above against a plain white background, cut out with no props, surface or shadow. The bird has been spatchcocked and pressed flat, so breast, thigh, drumstick and wing all read clearly in one plane, with the wing tips folded back at the top right and the leg ends at the left.
The skin carries the full range of a spit roast: burnished amber and copper over the breast, darker mahogany and near-black char along the raised ridges and the edge of the thigh, and paler buttery yellow where the skin has stayed thinner and shielded. The surface is glossy with rendered fat and visibly crisp, crazed into fine cracks in places — the look of a bird turned over heat rather than baked.
Suitable as a lead or ingredient image for Oktoberfest and Wiesn food guides, Bavarian Hendl and rotisserie chicken features, roast-chicken recipes and technique pieces, and beer-garden menu articles. The isolated white background makes it easy to drop onto coloured panels, use in a grid of dishes, or cut into a composite; horizontal, and it crops to square without losing the bird.
